Post-Doctoral Fellow
The ODPRN is currently seeking a Post-Doctoral Fellow for a 1 year, full time (1.0 FTE) position, with the possibility of renewal. In this role, the Fellow will work primarily on research contributing to ODPRN’s body of work focused on understanding drivers and potential solutions to Canada’s substance toxicity crisis, including studies describing factors associated with opioid-related harm, and assessing accessibility and effectiveness of treatment and harm reduction strategies. This work will involve identifying research gaps, generating research questions in consultation with the ODPRNs large network of partners (including people with lived and living experience), and developing research proposals and analysis plans for studies that will rely primarily on large administrative health databases (e.g., prescribing data, coronial records, and other health databases at ICES). The Fellow will contribute to, and lead, peer-reviewed publications, public reports, and funding applications, and will have opportunities to present to and engage with numerous stakeholders (including government stakeholders, service providers, data providers, community-based organizations, and people with lived and living experience).

Post-Doctoral Fellow

This work will involve identifying emerging research gaps, generating research questions, designing studies, and developing research proposals and analysis plans for analyses that will rely on large administrative health databases (e.g., prescribing data, coronial records, and other health databases at ICES). The Fellow will contribute to, and lead, peer-reviewed publications, public reports, and funding applications, and will have opportunities to present to and engage with numerous stakeholders (including government stakeholders, service providers, data providers, community-based organizations and people with lived and living experience).

COO-ODPRN Post-Doctoral Fellow
The Chiefs of Ontario (COO) and ODPRN are seeking a Post-Doctoral Fellow to join a First Nations-led project addressing the opioid crisis for a 1 year, full time (1.0 FTE) position, with the possibility of renewal. The Fellow will focus on monitoring trends in prescription opioid use, understanding clinical indications and factors associated with fatal overdoses, and comparing treatment outcomes for opioid use disorder. Responsibilities include identifying research gaps, generating questions, designing studies, and developing proposals using large health databases. The Fellow will contribute to peer-reviewed publications and public reports and engage with stakeholders, including government entities, service providers, data providers, community-based organizations, and individuals with lived experience.
