The mental health and well-being of children and youth, particularly those with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), were significantly affected by public health restrictions implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic. The impact of the pandemic on the patterns of prescription stimulant use, the main medication used for children and youth with ADHD, is not fully understood.
