Safer opioid supply (SOS) programs provide prescription pharmaceutical opioids, often with supportive services, to people at high risk of experiencing harms related to substance use. However, questions regarding the effectiveness and safety of this practice remain.
This study examined outcomes experienced by clients participating in formal SOS programs, as well as the perceptions of both clients and providers involved in these programs.
